It's Fun to Stay at the Y...M...C...A

Gymnastics class (called Parent and Child at the Y) has been a super investment.  Luke loves the class, the teacher, the other children and the exercise is helping him.

Waving to Maggie
We cannot drive near the John Deere dealership without Luke going ballistic~all because he wants to go to the gym (which is located behind JD). He absolutely loves it!

Our occupational therapist can tell that we are working on all of the skills that they do in therapy.  He keeps commenting on how much stronger Luke is getting, how his control is growing, and his attention span getting bigger.  This is called "homework".  And, just like we are committed to Maggie's homework~we are equally committed to Luke's.
We try our best to make the "homework" fun, though.

I usually do most of the gymnastics class with Luke, but on this day~I let Brad do the activities---while I took a few pictures.  I didn't get to take them at every station because of my flash, but you will get the idea.

I also snapped a few of Maggie (although she wasn't thrilled about me intruding on her "gymnastics")  Enjoy~we did ;)

PS We got a spontaneous Bye Bye to the bubbles at the end~!!!  (This is HUGE because bye and bye bye are words that had "disappeared", we had them and then they "vanished".  So glad that they "reappeared" today~now just to make them "stick".
